The Félix Cup will be held on Saturday May 3rd, 2025, at the arena in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba. The games will be played in the arena. The rink will be divided into different playing fields for a 3-on-3 game. Participants must be born in the year 2009 or later.
The first games will take place around 9:00 am and the tournament will run until about suppertime. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games. The structure of the tournament will depend upon registration numbers. It will likely be a round robin format, followed by a single elimination playoff round.
Team roster sizes will be a maximum of 9 players (goalies included). Teams will always have four people on the playing surface (three players and a goalie).
Early registration is $140 per team until April 3rd, 2025. Late registration will cost $170 per team from April 3rd, 2025 to April 27th, 2025. Returning teams will be offered a reduced price of $130 until April 3rd, 2025. Registration is closed after April 27th.
Goalies will be allowed to wear full ice hockey equipment. The ball will be a soft orange street hockey ball.
Helmets are recommended and will be mandatory for players under 18 years old.
There will be a food truck, beer gardens, silent auction, 50/50, loonie stick, and more.
The goal of this tournament is to raise funds for pediatric cancer research, there will be no cash prizes offered for winning teams. However, champions may receive a small team gift, and their team’s name on the trophy.
